Sergio Rios

Sergio Rios is a skilled campaign and communications professional focused on public affairs and political participation. Having immigrated from Cuba to Miami as a child, he understands firsthand the critical importance of democracy and community engagement. A longtime Miami-Dade resident and product of its public schools, he has dedicated his career to expanding civic involvement and public affairs outreach.

Since joining Edge Communications in late 2022, Sergio has worked across multiple election cycles, leading communications and field efforts for county, state, and municipal campaigns. He has played a key role in the re-election campaigns of Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, District 5 County Commissioner Eileen Higgins, District 9 School Board Member Luisa Santos, and Florida State Representative Ashley Gantt. He has also been heavily involved in municipal elections, leading efforts in Miami Beach, Homestead, and the City of Miami.

Currently, Sergio oversees communications, coordinates events, manages volunteers, and cultivates stakeholder relationships to support strategic campaign objectives. He holds a B.S. in Political Science from Florida International University, serves on the Miami-Dade Community Council for Westchester, and is based in Miami.
